A Sociedade Brasileira de Medicina Tropical (SBMT) acaba de colocar no ar, de forma integral, seu novo site (www.sbmt.org.br). A criação do portal faz parte da nova linha de comunicação adotada pela atual diretoria. Quando assumimos, em agosto passado, decidimos dar continuidade às ações de promoção da informação priorizando os mecanismos de comunicação da SBMT, como a revista científica, a Newsletter, os fóruns, os eventos regionais e os congressos. Tínhamos, portanto, que lançar um site mais ágil, que acompanhasse o fortalecimento e o aprimoramento de informações sobre os assuntos relativos à saúde nos Trópicos adotados pela SBMT”, explica o presidente Dr. Mitermayer Galvão dos Reis.

Podendo ser acessado também em smartphones e tablets, o novo site da SBMT comunica de forma direta, prática e com leveza visual. Incluímos ainda um motor de renovação da anuidade online que permite o acesso de forma mais prática e o pagamento a partir de poucos cliques, detalha o presidente, acrescentando que o site será constantemente atualizado por novas pesquisas realizadas pela SBMT e parceiros, assim como notícias, eventos e publicações que debatam sobre temas importantes relacionados à Medicina Tropical.

Dr. Mitermayer lembra que o incremento na comunicação da SBMT vem desde a gestão do ex-presidente Dr. Carlos Costa, que atualmente faz parte da comissão de redação e atua como editor da Newsletter. “Meu antecessor sempre esteve muito atento às tendências desta área e investiu recursos na estruturação da Revista da SBMT que hoje é editada totalmente em inglês e bastante acessada por pesquisadores internacionais. Além disso, promoveu excelência na Newsletter, que hoje é bilíngue”, ressaltou ao enfatizar que o mandato do Dr. Carlos Costa foi marcado por um passo muito importante dado na comunicação da SBMT visando divulgar as suas pesquisas e as suas ações.

Além do layout mais atrativo, limpo e prático, o novo site oferece fácil navegação. Explorando o portal, é possível conhecer todos os benefícios e serviços oferecidos pela SBMT, ficar por dentro das principais notícias sobre Medicina Tropical que foram destaque no mundo, ler entrevistas com personalidades internacionais, além de matérias de alta relevância sempre trazendo a voz de grandes especialistas. O novo site vem para atender a essas expectativas do nosso público”, observa o presidente ao destacar que o conteúdo é complementado pela total integração com as mídias sociais relevantes, uma forma de ampliar a comunicação com os associados, parceiros e o público em geral.

“Em breve lançaremos também o hotsite da Revista da SBMT e o mecanismo online para as eleições regionais, em que o associado poderá votar pela internet”, adianta Dr. Mitermayer.

The Brazilian Society of Tropical Medicine (BSTM) has launched the full version of its new website (www.sbmt.org.br). The portal’s creation is part of the new communication line adopted by the current directory. “When we took office, last August, we decided to continue the information promotion actions, prioritizing the BSTM’s communication tools, as the scientific journal, the Newsletter, the forums and regional events and congresses. This way, we had to launch a more agile website, that could keep up with the information strengthening and improvement about subjects related to health within the Tropics approached by the BSTM”, explains the president Dr. Mitermayer Galvão dos Reis.

Also accessible through smartphones and tablets, the BSTM’s new website communicates straightly, practically and has a smooth layout. “We also included an online payment renewal engine to allow easy access and payment within a few clicks”, details the president, stating that the website will be constantly updated with new researches conducted by the BSTM and partners, as well as news, events and publications regarding important themes related to the Tropical Medicine.

Dr. Mitermayer reminds that the BSTM’s communication enhances since the previous administration by former president Dr. Carlos Costa, who is currently part of the editorial commission and acts as the Newsletter’s editor. “My predecessor was always vigilant to this area’s trends and invested in the BSTM’s Journal structuration, and today it is fully edited in English and greatly accessed by international researchers. Besides, he promoted the Newsletter excellency, which now is bilingual”, stressed while emphasizing that Dr. Carlos Costa’s administration was marked by a very important step in the BSTM’s communication, always intending to disclose its researches and actions.

Besides the more attractive, cleaner and practical layout, the new website offers easy browsing.
